Durnin Research is delighted to have been appointed by Heritage Lincolnshire as Evaluator for the Old Kings Head, Kirton.
Probably the oldest secular building in Kirton, the Old Kings head is nationally important and is of high local significance. It is currently listed as Grade II but could be warranted Grade II* listing due to its antiquity and special architectural interest.
Heritage Lincolnshire has an excellent track record in saving historic buildings for new uses and received National Lottery Heritage Fund support to secure the future of the building, which has been repaired, refurbished and revived as an artisan café and boutique bed and breakfast.

Jonathan Durnin said: “Having worked with Heritage Lincolnshire on a number of previous projects, including the evaluation of 116 High St Boston, and early funding analysis for The Old Kings Head, I am delighted to be appointed to lead this work”
